All of the antibiotics, the effect of their actions can be divided into two groups, the bacteriostatic and bactericidal. Bacteriostatic slows the flow of metabolic processes in the cell of the microorganism by inhibiting the synthesis of their living proteins. Antibacterial drugs affect components of bacterial cells or their constituent substances, thereby causing cell damage and death of microorganism.

Josamycin, a part of Vilprafen, refers to preparations with a mixed effect. In the usual therapeutic concentrations it has a bacteriostatic effect and inhibits protein synthesis. However, creating a high concentration of the substance in the area of inflammation (particularly in the genitourinary tract), it may also have a bactericidal effect.

The distribution of drug in the body

Vilprafen used mainly inside. After getting into the gastrointestinal tract, it is completely absorbed from the intestine and into the plasma. The greatest and the maximum concentration observed in serum approximately 4 hours after administration of the drug. Significantly reduced the rate of release from the body xantinov (Aminophylline, Theophylline) in the appointment of Vilprafen, which may cause overdose of these drugs.

It is rather dangerous to treat Ureaplasma when taking antihistamines (which include astemizole and terfenadine). The danger lies in the fact thatsignificantly increases the risk of cardiac arrhythmias due to overdose of these drugs.

The use of Josamycin during cyclosporin therapy leads to damage of the kidneys, as down off ziklosporinom which have considerable nephrotoxic effect.

Adversely affect the reception of Vilprafen and Digoxin and other cardiac glycosides. Decreases rate of excretion, increasing the risk of intoxication by these drugs, which can lead to heart failure.

Hormonal contraception during therapy Vilprafen accompanied by a decrease in their efficiency, which can lead to unwanted pregnancy or progression of estrogen-dependent tumors (all depends on what the purpose of the designated contraceptives).

The dosage regimen

Repeat smear is recommended to make not earlier than 10 days after the start of antibiotic treatment

While the effectiveness of using Wilprafen in the second study fails to detect or significantly reduce the number of microorganisms or their absence. If treatment of Ureaplasma did not give proper effect, should review the treatment plan.
